Antes es el 'antes de todo': el comienzo de un mundo visto a través
de la fascinante y encantadora visión de Natalia Colombo. Unas
figuras emergen de las aguas, los cráteres lanzan fuego y vapores,
nuevos paisajes se forman: montañas, valles, lagos y ríos. Y todo
- absolutamente todo - en este mundo está vivo y celebrando su
creación. Colinas y volcanes se abrazan, extrañas criaturas miran
pacientemente al espectador como si esperaran que nosotros
creáramos un nombre para su especie, piedras y rocas intercambian
sonrisas y miradas cómplices. El coloreado universo de Natalia
Colombo está lleno de ternura y de esperanza para el futuro.
Antes presenta unas 30 obras en pequeño formato en acrilico,
tinta y lápiz sobre papel.
Natalia Colombo
es artista, ilustradora y diseñadora gráfica. Estudió en la Facultad de
Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, ciudad
en la que reside. Ha participado en exposiciones individuales y colectivas
en Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, Mexico, España, Italia entre otros. Ha ilustrado
libros álbum infantiles publicados en editoriales de Brasil, Chile, España,
Francia, Corea, Italia, México, Suiza, Estados Unidos y Argentina. Sus
ilustraciones han sido animadas para Canal Encuentro (Argentina). Con su obra,
“Cerca”, ganó el I Premio Internacional Compostela (España), y el Premio
internacional Delle Palme (Italia). En el 2017 obtuvo mención Honorífica en el
VIII catálogo Iberoamericano de ilustración (México). Experimenta con diversas
técnicas como acrílicos, lápices, marcadores y tintas sobre diferentes
soportes. Dibuja diariamente en su taller del barrio de Flores.
Galería Mar Dulce se especializa en obras de pequeño y mediano formato de pintura,
dibujo, grabado, libros de artista y objetos, realizadas por artistas
rioplatenses clásicos y contemporáneos. Junto a Antes
presentamos +COLECTIVA47, una curaduría de obras realizadas por María Luque, Sofía Alvarez Watson, Natalia
Cristo, Pablo Mattioli, Laura Romero, Andy Mermet, Sofía Wiñazki, Miren Asiain
Lora, Elenio Pico, Ral Veroni, Caro Malbran, Marta Fernández, Raoul Veroni y
Maite Perez Cobo, entre otros.

Before
is ‘before anything’: the beginnings of a
world as seen through the fascinating and enchanting vision of Natalia Colombo.
Creatures emerge from the waters, craters throw out fire and vapours, new
landscapes are formed: mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers. And everything –
absolutely everything – in this world is alive and celebrating its creation.
Hills and volcanoes embrace one and other, strange creatures gaze patiently out
at the spectator as if waiting for us to create a name for their species,
stones and rocks exchange smiles and complicit looks. The richly coloured world
of Natalia Colombo is full of tenderness and hope for the future.
Before presents some 30 small format works in acrylic, ink and pencil on paper.
Natalia Colombo is an
artist, illustrator and graphic designer. She studied in the University of
Buenos Aires’ Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism. She has
participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Argentina, Uruguay,
Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Italy, amongst others. She has illustrated children’s
books that have been published in Brazil, Chile, Spain, France, Korea, Italy,
Mexico, Switzerland, the Unites States and Argentina and her illustrations have
been animated by the Argentine Encuentro
television channel. Her work ‘So Close’ won the 1st Compostela
International Prize (Spain) and the Delle Palme International Prize (Italy). In
2017 she received an Honorary Mention in the 8th Ibero-American
Illustration Catalogue (Mexico). She experiments with diverse techniques using
acrylic, pencil, marker and ink on different supports. She draws daily in her
studio in the Flores neighbourhood of Buenos Aires.
Galería Mar Dulce specialises in small and medium format artwork in painting, drawing,
print, photography, artists’ books and objects, produced by classic and
contemporary Argentine artists. To accompany Before we
present +COLLECTIVE47, a specially curated selection of works by María Luque, Sofía Alvarez
Watson, Natalia Cristo, Pablo Mattioli, Laura Romero, Andy Mermet, Sofía
Wiñazki, Miren Asiain Lora, Elenio Pico, Ral Veroni, Caro Malbran, Marta
Fernández, Raoul Veroni and Maite Perez Cobo, amongst others.
