El arte es un entramado hermoso de ideas. El artista es aquel que sabe plasmarlas. Cuando arte y artista se animan a ir más allá, el resultado es prodigioso. Y si además plantean un estilo personal, se está ante un fenómeno.
Cuando se habla de universos paralelos se piensa de inmediato en teorías de física cuántica o en mundos de ciencia ficción o sobrenaturales, pero pocas veces se indaga sobre un lugar más lógico para su existencia: el interior de un artista.
El Universo Paralelo de Decur, es, sin dudas, el más deslumbrante de todos. Como si frotara ante nosotros una lámpara mágica, recrea sin darle respiro a su imaginación un sinfín de personajes que no solo se destacan por sus apariencias entrañables, queribles, frescas y únicas, sino también por esa sensación de estar escapando del lienzo, como si el límite entre ese mundo y el nuestro fuera mucho más frágil que una fina capa de pintura.
En esta escena en movimiento comstante dibujada con el alma -porque no nos engañemos, la obra no es un plano inmóvil, sino un cosmos que respira- se cruzan miles de historias, de narraciones, a las que les sucederán otras, de manera infinita.
Y apreciar sus obras es como sumergirnos dentro de un cuento de aristas fantásticas, en el que es imposible ser un mero observador. En el universo “decuriano” uno se involucra, se funde con el dibujo, hace un trueque tácito con lo que tiene delante de sus ojos, dando su atención a cambio de una aventura trepidante.
Entonces, la mesa cobrará vida, la tetera nos mirará fijamente, un gato de nariz roja se desternillará de la risa, un perro con camisa luchará con su comida, un raro espécimen de musculosa roja y blanca y cabeza de proporciones abrumadoras intentará convencernos de que todo es realidad, mientras otra docena de seres, soñadores y soñados, seguirán su juego, divertidos, felices. Ante cada mirada nuestra, la mesa parecerá invariable y sin embargo, veremos en cada oportunidad un nuevo fragmento del universo que quizá antes nos pasó desapercibido y así, cada historia volverá a dibujarse, a escribirse, a materializarse como por obra de magia. Nos asaltarán dudas y despertarán en nuestra mente miles de interrogantes: ¿Qué gusto tendrán las hojas verdes? ¿Está el conejo de orejas largas y coloridas, enamorado de esa hermosura de ojos amarillos y también orejas enormes? ¿Hablarán todos el mismo idioma?
Solo nos queda celebrar. Festejar sus obras. Porque… ¡qué regalo para nuestros sentidos, hermanados con el corazón y el espíritu, aventurados a desentramar los senderos secretos que recorren esos relatos silenciosos que se tejen entre los colores y trazos, sentenciados por un verdadero demiurgo: Decur!

Art is a beautiful entanglement of ideas and an artist is a person that knows how to untwine them. When art and artist push themselves, the result can be extraordinary, and if a personal style is added the result can be quite a phenomenon.
When we speak of parallel universes we immediately think of theories of quantum physics or the worlds of science fiction and the supernatural. It doesn't often occur to us to consider a more logical place for their existence: the interior of the artist.
The Parallel Universe of Decur is particularly spellbinding. As if rubbing a magic lamp before our eyes, he ceaselessly presents a parade of characters outstanding not only for their endearing, lovable, fresh and unique character but also for the sensation that they impart of escaping from the canvas, as if the limit between their world and our own were much more fragile than even a fine layer of paint.
In this scenario of constant movement - we mustn’t be fooled: the work is not a static plane but rather a living and breathing cosmos- thousands of stories succeed each other indefinitely.
To appreciate his works is to immerse ourselves in a story of fantastic intersections, in which it is impossible to remain a mere observer. The Decurian universe is a place of emotional investment, we become one with the image, making a tacit agreement with that which we have before our eyes: we give our attention in return for an intrepid adventure.
So then, the table comes to life, a teapot regards us with a fixed gaze, a cat with a red nose splits his sides in laughter, a dog in a Tshirt fights with his food, a strange specimen in a red and white vest tries to convince us that everything is real, whilst another dozen happy and entertained beings –the dreamers and the dreamed- follow his game. The table appears invariable before our eyes and yet, with every glance, we see a new fragment of this universe that perhaps had passed unnoticed before. Each story redraws and retells itself, materialising as if by magic. Doubts and questions arise: What do the green leaves taste of? Is the rabbit with long red ears in love with the beautiful creature with yellow eyes and similarly extensive ears? Does everyone speak a common language?
All that is left for us is to celebrate his artwork, for what a gift it is for our senses: uniting heart and spirit, venturing to disentangle the secret paths running through the silent tales woven in colours and strokes, all determined by the demiurge of the work: Decur!
